A rich and creamy Pinot Blanc, with bright acidity! Perfect food companion.
Vineyards: Moriz Pinot Bianco is sourced from vineyards planted between 400 and 600 meters in the calcareous clay and gravel soils common to the area of Sella near Tramin. The name of this wine comes from the patron of Sella, Saint Mauritius (Moriz).
Winemaking: The grapes for this wine were harvested in small bins and then gently pressed off to steel tanks where the must was allowed to ferment at controlled temperature (19°C) without malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes: Pinot Bianco is part of the Burgundian Pinot family and is related to Pinot Grigio and the principal grape of Pinot family, Pinot Noir. As a wine, Pinot Blanc feels fresh and rich yet dry. It has a greenish yellow to light yellow colour and light scents of green apple. The wine also shows a complex nutty flavour and hints of green leaves. It feels balanced between richness of texture and bright acidity.
Food Pairing: Pairings for Pinot Blanc include light starters, fish or white meat, and many Chinese cuisine dishes. It also works as an aperitif.
