Our basic Lacrima - easy to drink, light and floral!

Lacrima di Morro D'Alba is a very unusual grape, closest to Ruche - but with an even more intriguing, flowery bouquet!

This is the "basic" version, already a very impressive interpretation of Lacrima.

A great everyday wine to sip on, but also excellent with Chinese food - the nose impresses, but the structure of the wine does not get in the way with aromatic food flavours.

About the name "Barbarossa":

Morro d'Alba is part of the Castles of Jesi, in the province of Ancona, a city besieged by Federico Barbarossa, elected emperor in 1152 as Federico I and crowned in Pavia in 1154 in response to the creation of the Lombard League. A legend tells that in 1167, during the siege of Ancona, Federico I knew and appreciated the Rosso Lacrima wine which left its intense red color on his beard – “Barba Rossa” in Italian!
